This is a wonderful mid-20th century original oil painting depicting a town square street scene of possibly a Moroccan town or Middle Eastern town, signed by J. Brideid. It evokes great feelings and is well done. The oil paint is starting to crackle a bit near the signature, but overall, it is in good condition. The frame is from Grand Rapids, Michigan, a well-know wood furniture producing area for many, many years.
It is a lovely painting and the light muted tones look stunning against the heavy, dark frame.
It measures 20” wide and 16 ½” high, with a frame depth of 1 ½”
